“Noto Peninsula and Yokohama – Connecting People through Public Baths”

Today in Yokohama, a unique event took place at the Yokohama Urban Development Memorial Hall. A special exhibition titled “Noto Peninsula and Yokohama – Connecting People through Public Baths” is being held until September 29th. This exhibition highlights the historical connection between public baths in Yokohama and the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, showcasing how these communal spaces have fostered cultural exchange and community ties. Currently, of the 47 public bathhouses in Yokohama, 26 are associated with Ishikawa Prefecture, most of them in the Noto region.
